About the Program

IT For Youth Ghana's Computer Basics course aims to upskill participants in all facets of digital literacy within the two-month duration. These topics include computer hardware fundamentals, operating systems, and essential software applications, along with cybersecurity best practices.

Students will receive hands-on interactive training to navigate operating systems, including file management, productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, and safe internet usage. This course is perfect for beginners, job seekers, and people who want to get a solid foundation of computer skills.

At the end of the program, participants will be able to use computers confidently for personal, academic and professional tasks, troubleshoot basic problems that arise, and receive a certificate of completion that provides a springboard for additional tech-related courses and career opportunities.

Program Cost & Scholarships

The original program cost is GHS 1,000, but thanks to institutional support, tuition is subsidized by 60%, reducing the fee to GHS 500. Full scholarships are available for highly motivated individuals who demonstrate passion and commitment. Eligible applicants will undergo interviews and assessments to qualify.
